Leo Kyrgios joins as Senior Engineer

Leo has been welcomed at inControl Systems having accumulated 10 years of experience in automation design

From breakdancing in Athens, to automation in Chesterfield

Leo has been welcomed at inControl Systems having accumulated 10 years of experience in automation design across various industries, including oil & gas, metallurgy, hydrogen, energy storage systems, chemical, food processing & packaging.

Having moved to the UK from Greece during the Covid years, Leo based himself in South Yorkshire working for another systems integrator — and before that at ITM Power, manufacturers of hydrogen electrolysers from Sheffield.

A focus on functional safety

Gaining his Electrical & Electronics Engineering Masters at the University of West Attica in Athens,Greece, he subsequently gained a TüV certificate in functional safety a huge benefit to the team at inControl, and our customers.

His lifelong learning commitment is clear: “I’m deeply passionate about my work, and that passion drives my persistence and attention to detail. I find purpose in creating, and I’m constantly motivated by the opportunity to learn. What sets me apart is my commitment to exceeding expectations and always pushing myself to achieve more…”

Leo had no hesitation in joining inControl Systems “…they are an innovative systems integrator that focuses on keeping clients ahead of the curve with cutting-edge technologies…”

Not scared of making the move from Greece to England, Leo is also not afraid to make some moves on the dance floor as an avid breakdancer. He’s now sharing his passion with the next generation so we’re sure he will learn some new control system moves from the other engineers in the team.

Welcome Leo, we look forward to seeing those moves at the Christmas party.
