Welcoming Ian Poxon to the team

We’re pleased to welcome Ian Poxon to inControl our new Principal Solutions Architect.

Ian joins the team with a rare combination of deep technical rigour and real-world delivery experience. His background spans physics research, hyperspectral imaging, and more than a decade working across software engineering and complex IT systems. A recurring theme in his work has been digital modernisation — taking systems that are opaque, fragmented, or underperforming, and turning them into platforms teams can actually understand, trust, and use.

As Ian puts it:

“A lot of my work has been about bringing structure and insight where there’s been very little before — helping teams really see what’s going on.”

That focus on clarity, visibility, and grounded problem-solving aligns closely with how we work at inControl. As our projects continue to grow in scale and complexity, Ian’s expertise strengthens our ability to design robust architectures that don’t just work on paper, but deliver lasting value in the real world.
