We were pleased to provide sponsorship of the Tuxford Clarion Cycling Club’s 3-up Team Time Trial on Sunday 17th of July.
The team trial is a discipline of the sport, often seen in professional races, where teams of 3 to 7 share the workload and provide slipstream to each other. This event, also the National Clarion Championships was held over 25 miles around the North Notts Village of Tuxford.
Winners were the local Derbyshire team – South Normanton CC with a time of 54 minutes and 43 seconds and an impressive average speed of 27.4mph.
The photo to the right is a young team of Calder Clarion CC from Wakefield aged between 13-14 demonstrating how well trained and disciplined they are. The winners of the prestigious National Clarion Team Championship was Nottingham Clarion just 24 seconds behind in 2nd place overall with 55 minutes and 7 seconds.
