Jim Wood joined us last week and is already settling in nicely.
With over 20 years of experience as an engineer, Jim will be sharing his expertise and knowledge as a distinguished engineer. Jim will be taking part in the control panel designing, building, and testing, with a plan to develop his skills around PLC software via training.
“After being here a week, I have settled in well, and it’s great to see how InControl has grown from the small unit they used to have in Clay Cross to what they have now. Everyone is nice and very helpful it’s a very pleasant working environment. For me, I can expand my skillset which is something I never had the chance to do before now, hopefully, my background in building control panels will benefit the company.”
When Jim isn’t working, he enjoys spending his time watching movies or going to watch his local Chesterfield Football Club. Jim also is a self-proclaimed ‘tech nerd’, having all the latest gadgets and gizmos, and a big video game enjoyer!
Jim has known our Technical Director, Jan Hemper, all his life. Having been neighbors growing up and crossing paths multiple times due to previous employments. Another fun fact is that Jim’s father employed Jan and Pat (our Managing Director) as apprentices!
