InControl’s Engineers complete the TUV Rheinland Functional Safety Program.

07/10/2022

The TÜV Rheinland Functional Safety Program provides evidence of competency in functional safety from an internationally recognised organization.

This certificate ensures our engineers can fulfill our design responsibilities and can perform activities to recognised standards of competence regularly, to:

  • Assess, quantify, and evaluate risks by designing appropriate safety systems, reducing the risk level to a tolerable level
  • Satisfy legal and regulatory requirements
  • Enable InControl Systems to meet contractual commitments for new and existing customer projects

The certified FS Engineer (TÜV Rheinland) certificate demonstrates competency in the fundamentals of Functional safety and provides a skill set that is transferable from one work situation to another.

The IEC61508 is an international standard, consisting of methods on how to apply, design, deploy and maintain automatic protection systems called safety-related systems.

The IEC61511 is a technical standard which sets out practices in the engineering of systems that ensure the safety of an industrial process using instrumentation. Such systems are referred to as Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
