Experience Our New Control Room Demo Facility at Our Chesterfield HQ
inControl Systems has just opened its own in-house control room at our Chesterfield facility — a live, fully operational environment built to the exact same standards we design for customers.
inControl Systems has just opened its own in-house control room at our Barlborough, Chesterfield facility, 2 minutes off J30 on the M1 — a live, fully operational environment built to the exact same standards we design for customers. It’s the newest addition to our site, and it’s already changing how we demonstrate our SCADA and Digitalisation Solutions as well as testing real projects…
Manufacturing, process and utility operations generate more data than ever, but it’s only a joined-up picture if it’s visible in one place. With the growing demand for data-driven insight and operational efficiency, the need to bring plant, process and utility information together in one window has never been stronger. Our new facility puts that into practice every day, and it now shapes how we deliver control room integration for customers across process and manufacturing industries.
Why we built our own control room
We didn’t want to design control rooms for customers without living with one ourselves. Our Chesterfield facility runs on the same thin client architecture, software platforms and cyber-secure design principles that we recommend to clients — so when we talk about what works, it’s because we’ve tested it on our own floor first.

The control room in action
“A number on a spreadsheet doesn’t spark a conversation. Put it on a screen, in context, next to everything else that’s happening on site, and it becomes a talking point — a real kick-starter for debate about what to do next”
— Pat Nash, Managing Director, inControl Systems

A Track Record We Can Point To
This isn’t our first control room, and it won’t be our last. Our Singleton Birch project replaced eight separate control rooms with a single, integrated control centre — improving availability by more than 20% and cutting operating costs by around 13%. Our new Chesterfield facility means we can show customers what that kind of result looks like in practice, before their project even begins.

“Not only are we using this control room for demonstrating what our partners’ software platforms can do for our customers when we integrate those platforms with the physical assets on their sites, but we are already using this for Factory Acceptance Testing of existing projects before they are delivered to site.”
— Ian Clarke, Sales and Marketing Director
Come and experience our control room for yourself
The best way to understand what a control room could look like for your business is to see one in operation. We’d love to show you around our Chesterfield facility — talk through what’s on the screens, and what it could mean for your site.

A wall of screens, and a room full of questions
Walk onto our floor and you’ll see plant operational data, alarm management screens, energy usage, CCTV, real-time asset tracking, health and safety metrics, production planning, OEE and process capability data, all pulled together in one place.
On their own, these are just numbers. Brought together in one view, they paint the full picture.
What we can demonstrate at our new control room
- Demonstration from our approved vendors such as AVEVA, Siemens, Rockwell and more
- Live and sandbox demonstration of our IoT and Digital Solutions
- How Thin Client hardware with Rockwell’s ThinManager software are deployed
- Your own Factory Acceptance Test, to be proven before the project is delivered to site
- State of the Art professionally designed and built control room furniture
“There’s nothing quite like watching live plant data update in real time in front of a customer. It changes the conversation completely”
